Best Practices/Case Studies “Japanese-German/German-Japanese Innovation Initiative 160”
Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) launched the “German-Japanese Innovation Initiatives 160” in 2021 to mark the 160th anniversary of Japan-Germany relations, in order to create innovations aimed at resolving global issues such as climate change, declining birthrate and aging population, infectious diseases including COVID-19, SDGs, and food issues. And this year, as a follow-up, exchange networking programs between German and Japanese companies have been held in various parts of Germany.
At the same time, JETRO and GTAI called for exemplary successful cases to promote the creation of new successful stories of German and Japanese innovations. As we look back over the past year toward the 200th anniversary of Germany and Japan, we will introduce some of the best practices at the Play-Up Event.
This event will also be held as part of the J-Bridge project. J-Bridge is a business platform to facilitate collaboration between Japanese and overseas companies. JETRO supports cross-border open innovation for accelerating digital and green transformation.
